Convergence
Five strangers carry separate burdens through a fractured world until the Forest of Ruhar draws them into the same clearing.
The world of Vaelloss has been broken for years. The Fracturing tore Manira into a drift of floating isles, and the wound it opened still bleeds light into places that had never seen the sun. Ruhar, to the south, answered the break by overgrowing. Its forests grew thick and wild, and something within them has begun to call.
This is the arc of the answer to that call. A phase elf with a secret at her ear. A wandering soldier and his hound. A heretic priest whose hands have remembered a light that was never the gods’. A svirfneblin who climbed toward a single beam of sunlight and never went home. A scholar who is not what he claims to be.
They do not know each other. They do not know the wood is stitching their stories together.
They will, soon enough.
